White Snake:

What a sight to see
She slips beneath the autumn leaves
What a breath she takes
When she sheds those pure white scales

But what a downfall she has now
Her white scales make her stand out
The serpent knows her beauty’s a curse
And how the towns rumours make her sound worse

She is not shy but she is always silent
She is cunning and fast but she isn’t violent
Mistaken and tricked although accused of lies
All intent misjudged inside lurid eyes
The town will yell and chase her out
No one stops to see what she is about
And so she rears her head in defence
She was no monster but forced to contend

Her scales are unique, white and pure
They do not reflect what she’s forced to endure
Her eyes are an outstanding light
And how they reflect her willingness to fight

But what a downfall she has now

They go to reflect everything she has endured
Her eyes are now a misleading light
And how they reflect her sinking will to survive

This was actually written with Orochimaru in mind. It is based on the idea that due too being or looking different someone can be outcast and seen as a monster. Like a snake who shows rare colouring can be mistaken as poisonous, same goes for people.

Because of this, and due to being called a monster it is easy for said person to fall into madness, or to become a monster. If someone is always called a monster, even when they are not, even if they had no desire to be anything of the sort, it is easy to become one simply due to people backing you into a corner. Or judging you before you had the chance to become your own person.

This relates to many things, but I drew inspiration from the fictional character Orochimaru from Naruto.
